Spiš is an extraordinary region — where centuries-old monuments meet the foothills of the Tatras to form a uniquely compelling landscape. Its natural beauty and irreplaceable heritage create a singular backdrop for the work of a modern gallery. Standing in the immediate vicinity of Kežmarok Castle, the gallery has become part of the city's contemporary story. Building on the rich cultural legacy of our forebears, I founded a gallery devoted to Slovak fine art of the 20th and 21st centuries. The collection brings together prints, paintings, and sculpture.
Since the gallery opened, I have focused on exhibitions of printmaking, presenting solo shows by leading Slovak, Czech, European, and Japanese artists.
My ambition is steady, deliberate work — to build a gallery of European stature.
